Green is more than just a color. It is an understanding that I am part of something larger then myself, a deep love for this earth we call home and all its inhabitants.
I am grateful for the air the plants, trees, and water sources make and distribute, for without this gift, I could not exist.
In the USA we celebrate thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November. Some of us eat turkey. Some of us don’t. Above all, it is a time for giving thanks. In celebration, I offer you these words:
Author Melody Beattie says this about gratitude:
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
