Have you ever seen a black bear wandering downstream?

I took a bunch of pictures of the black bears as they wondered by us on the river. They knew we were there but mostly they ignored us in favor of finding lunch.

I like the way the bits of leaves were drifting in the sunshine as the bear crossed through them.

    • Thanks – yes we saw many bears that day, young and old, and they all looked pretty good. The picture was taken in early october. The river was not real deep, but they were catching fish or cleaning up the remains of guts left by earlier bears.

I went to see the spirit bear – which never showed – but these black bears could carry the recessive gene to throw them. It was a great experience.
