Dolphin Welcoming Committee

This is not a really good photograph, but how often do you arrive somewhere and find a pod of dolphins feeding and playing right in front of you? We are up high, and I have a 300 mm lens so this was the best I could do. They migrate following the whales from the north, so I think they are the early arrivers. There is an abundance of herring here. The natural world is such a fabulous web of interconnection. While I am happy to be at the top of the food chain, I am very sorry that we as humans do not respect it more.
