Not quite full, the moon was out, lighting up Howe Sound. I couldn’t resist so got up and put the camera on the tripod. I have no idea what it takes to capture a great full moon shot, so have some reading to do. I do know that if I want the detail in the moon, I’m going to have to take two shots – one of the moon in focus and another of the landscape, and then merge them in photoshop.

I once stayed in Ansel Adam’s grand daughter’s house (Wild Rose Station on Mono Lake, CA) and his photography was hanging and it was amazing. He would have loved photoshop, I’m sure. I am not a purist. I’m just too busy to be able to spend the time tweaking my pictures beyond a cropping.
